Eric Liot (France, 1964) Eric Liot was born in Caen, France. During his time at the Architecture school, first in Normandy and later in Paris at the “Université de la Villette,” Liot realized that he had no calling to be an architect. Feeling weighed down by the narrowness of the academic education and the anonymity of Paris, he decided to move abroad. Attracted by exotic countries, Liot traveled to Latin America, East and Central Africa as well as Asia. His decision to be an artist became more and more clear. Giving up the university, Liot pursued work as a freelance poster- and furniture designer. Liot has exhibited widely across Europe, participated in art fairs with numerous catalogs. He is established in the Parisian art scene and has made a name for himself in France and abroad.
